It all depends on how irritated your skin looks. If it is peeling, it's probably not ok. Also, it's best that you exfoliate with AHA's. They are gentle enough on the skin and do the job well. Don't use scrubs they can make you scar. If you have dry skin it's not good to exfoliate more than three times a week. If you have oily skin you can exfoliate daily with AHAs. You can make a yoghurt mask containing AHAs for example by just putting AHA's. Better yet you can buy a moisturizer with AHA's that does not clog pores such as Neutrogena's Healthy skin. It also helps with minor blemishes. This is my favorite moisturizer and is gentle enough for daily use. In addition it has spf of 15. I am in no way associated with this company. Also don't expect miracles but it does help.
No, that's not a good idea. Prescription acne cream does it's own form of exfoliation and makes your skin very tender so that additional exfoliation can actually tear your skin.
