Does exfoliating make a tan go away quicker?

i know it does with sunless tanning, but what about a natural tan? i use to pouf with an efoliating body wash everyday in the shower, but i don't want to use those if it makes a natural tan fade quicker. thanks!Does exfoliating make a tan go away quicker?
Tanning affects the top layers of skin. Exfoliating removes the very very top layer of skin, comprised of dirt, dead skin cells and debris. So, only if you scrub really really hard will your tan actually ';come off';. But this will never happen with just basic scrubbing (it can only happen with cosmetic treatments like microdermabrasion) so don't worry about it.Does exfoliating make a tan go away quicker?
Nothing can make a natural tan go away. A tan is a coloring the sun has permanently left on your fragile skin. The only way tans go away is when the skin starts shedding and the lower layer of the skin becomes the top layer.

=] So go ahead and exfoliate if you want to. It wont damage your natural tan.
