My skin has darkened because of over exfoliating

Is there anyway it will be light like the rest of the body? How can I repair the skin that was damaged by friction? Is this permanenet? My skin on face is about 3-4 shades darker than the rest of my bodyMy skin has darkened because of over exfoliating
luckily, it is not permanent, but you have to rest your skin from exfoliation for the next 3 weeks.. take care to moisturize skin during the healing process... the dark skin layer will still be there.. remember exfoliation/scrubbing should only be done ONCE a week.. thereafter, try a mild skin lightening soap to gently peel off the superficial dark skin layer and reveal your original skin tone.. still, keep the skin moisturized during this new process, and use a high spf sunscreen to protect healing skin from sun damage and hyperpigmentation. My skin has darkened because of over exfoliating
This is odd because usually exfoliating lightens skin because of the stimulation for new skin growth, but over exfoliating can cause break outs.

I would keep moisturizing your skin with a cream that doesn't make your face break out. That way, you can keep from damaging your skin further. I doubt the discoloration is permanent, but since I've never heard of over exfoliating causing a change to darker pigment, it's hard for me to give you proper advice. Sorry! Maybe someone can answer this better.
friction darkend the skin? doubt it... it may just been that u went out very after u exfoliated the skin with no sunscreen and u tanned the fress skin because tans happen on the very first layer of skin and if u tan old dead skin it will fall of soon enuff... but when u tanb fresher skin it last for a month because that when the cycle of regeneration starts all over again... u can't really do anything a bout it other than get an exfoliant that is specifically for sensitive skin, and do it every other day
